FocusReward
Most focus timers give you the same thing every time. You finish the session, get a reward like a 5-minute break, and repeat.
FocusReward adds one twist: you don't know if you'll earn your reward until it's over.
How it works
Before you start, write a reward and set the odds. Once you've finished the session, hit spin and find out if you won.
Why it works
An uncertain reward is more compelling than one you'll definitely get. It's the same thing behind slot machines, fishing, and refreshing social media.
This makes it more motivating to set and complete focus sessions.
Why does this exist
No existing focus timer did what I wanted, so I built it for myself and released it.
Planned features
- Saved rewards for frequently used items
- Reward buckets (Small / Medium / Large) with multiple potential rewards each
- Auto-increasing odds after unsuccessful spins
